^ ^ that was basically referring to money bro, and material things, as far as I'm concern the bible is silent to playing outside.. The reality is the only thing that is "secular" is sin.. other than that it is a form of livelihood.. Basin unyag mapandul ka sila Darlene Zschech nagprojects for other well known artist outside the christian circle, or abraham laboriel having more than 2000 sessions for different artists, and other well known christian artist.

Ya some of them bro napandol jud. If you read some of Darlene's testimony about sa ilang music ministry. Ilang mga project pud naay cause og ubang mga artists. They are spreading the Word of God through sa ilang music. Ako pud pasabot diri is not about money or material things(serving two masters), it could be vices, or work or extra activities nga maka hinder sa atong service sa Ginoo... I'm also talking about music exclusively here. Maybe lahi2x jud cguro ang tao when it comes to this.hehehe! If mo tukar ta gawas sa church kinsa atong gi glorify kaha ana? atong self or si God? it's hard to believe if we sing or play a non-Christian song we are glorifying God. Mao ni undang nko tukar2x sa banda outside sa church. Lahi ra jud ang feeling og ang satisfaction. 90 or 99% during sa gig if motukar ta og sa banda(meaning non-Christian music) ang tendency ang maglorify ang naa sa banda og dli ang Ginoo. Naa dha ang danger. Sa akoa ra na ha. hehehe!.share lang ko..Mao na ako pasabot nga we can't serve two masters. Playing sa church og sa outside(secular song). Naa jud kay pilion ana at the end. That's the truth.

^ ^ bro even if you play in church you can glorify yourself.. If glorifying is the issue...If I choose to play jazz the reality is it's not on our churches (that's the reality now). there are many reasons why one plays outside... and the matter is, it's all about the motives..

anyway I will not expound on this further...I don't think this matter will make me lose my salvation..In other words these are minor issues in the Christian world.. There are more important things than these.

Ya it's possible we can glorify ourself bisan naa pata inside sa church instead of God mao na ang danger, how much more naa ta outside sa church. Lain2x jud ang tao. God knows our heart. Sakto jud ka bro about kong unsa ang motives behind it.. But I believe after all naa jud tay pilion sa duha ka masters(things nga maka hinder sa atong service sa Ginoo). Either we give up the other one and keep the other one.

Where ka nga church bro? Ako bag-o lng ko naabot sa Cebu, work man gud medyo busy.

Karon lang ko ani. sorry. anyway. I started in church, dayon ni play go sa "secular band", unya naa man mi policy sa church na di pwede mutukar sa 'secular' so mao I have to let that go...Karon I still want to play outside kay lahi man gud usahay and discipline og ang experience.

But at the end of the day.. It all boils down to your convection so don't do anything beyond your convection.. and most of all do it for the Glory of God..

thnx for the share..dugay na bya ni nko napost! pero by replying to it, i'm quite enlighten again. it's really how God leads u to play if church or outside as long as God is still glorified. and right now, i have teamed up with a Christian rock band, and hope the aim of sharing God's love won't be replaced by anything else.
