I haven't seen it yet, but I hear Firefly is really good. Basically, it's a western in space. It's a 2002 series created by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame. The series has achieved a cult status and the fans are so loyal that they are trying to bring the series back now.

Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, a prequel series to Spartacus: Blood and Sand has just finished airing in the States. Season 2 of Spartacus: Blood and Sand will start in 2012.
