I am sure that it was the practice before but at the present, dili na ko sure. However, I know of one here in Cebu. Accepted man sa first wife ang relation kay the wife sees and knows that there is real love and naka help lighten ang work niya sa balay.

The practice of multiple wives is practiced in the Philippines and it is legal. Muslims are allowed to have multiple wives up to four. Example, Robin Padilla and Mariel Rodriguez. I do no exactly know ika pila na si Mariel. They appear very happy when I last saw them.

I am aware of a lady senator who got married under the Muslim law.

Islam put an upper limit of four wives only. Islam gives a man permission to marry two, three or four women, only on the condition that he deals justly with them.

Therefore Polygamy is not a rule but an exception. Many people are under the misconception that it is compulsory for a Muslim man to have more than one wife.
It should be noted that there are conditions attached to many marriage:

1 – Justice and fairness.
If a man fears that he will not be able to treat his wives fairly if he marries more than one, then it is forbidden for him to marry more than one. What is meant by justice here is treating all wives equally with regard to spending, clothing, staying overnight and other material matters which are within his ability to control.

With regard to justice and equal treatment in the area of love, he is not held accountable for that, and it is not required of him because it is not possible to control it. This is what is meant by the words of Allaah (interpretation of the meaning):
“You will never be able to do perfect justice between wives even if it is your ardent desire”

Polygamy...sounds interesting if you have lot of resources. But I'd rather stay to one woman only. It's not an easy to handle many wives. But this Indian man is lucky enough to have many wives in his life ==>> Indian man has 39 wives, nearly 100 children - Yahoo! News

Acceptability of polygamy is cullture bound. Of course, there are certain conditions that go with it. In the Philippines, monogamous marriages is the norm. Anything violative of this is ILLEGAL or SINFUL; ... the effects of "theocracy")!

I will be 52 soon, happily married for 32 yrs. already, a mother of 4 professional children w/ 1 grandchild. Nothing is perfect, but these are only My suggestions:

Cook and serve him good foods, lots of fruits everyday. Give him Vitamin supplements. Maybe he is just too tired bec. of his work.

Cleanup the house esp.your room and move your bed and other furnitures in a different position for a change.... put on fresh bedsheets/linens, curtains and a plant. Switch on the lampshade only for a romantic ambiance.

Keep the kids out of sight para good concentration.
Give him a warm bath and a little massage before he sleeps. FHM magazines and the likes at his bedside could also do the trick hahaha.

Wear new and sexy sleeping attires and undies to fulfill his hidden fantasies. Change venue and lovemaking style para dili boring.....dont be shy,,,,,sometimes we must be a whore to our husband.
