walay nikon repair center diri sa Cebu, or i believe even sa Pilipins... if you send it to Manila (Columbia-official distributor of nikon products) they will charge you double coz ur using grey market product (compared to CDSC unit) if dili kaya sa ilang technician then they will send it to hongkong and it would take months before nimo makuha...

try to bring it sa Camera care (not official nikon repair center) diri sa Cebu, located siya sa Uptown at Sampaguita Suites (former belvic cinema) naa gamay nga shop diha... basin madala pa nila og repair... prepare lang gyud og dako2x nga mane kay from my experience pagpaayo sa ila sa akong lens na 55-200 nga dili na mo auto focus, they charged me 3500 petot, pero na repair gyud siya... HTH

to ts: can you please post pic or shots you took nga present ning "Whitey" appearance? aron ma check nato. Does your camera show an error message or wala? Have you tried using another lens? Sa ako nahibaw-an kay if ang shutter maoy naa problema dili na siya mu click unya mu gawas ang error message.

if the the problem is the shutter, then your better off buying brand new nalang bro... it's very expensive to replace... basing on my former boss camera nikon D70(this was 5 years ago), he sends it to Hongkong for repair and paid 7K++ just for the shutter alone, wala pay labot sa labor and iya gibayad pagpadala sa hongkong... but anyways try lang og dala sa Camera care basin sad dili shutter ang problem ana...

no, not anymore bro, it seems the seller is not interested anymore to discuss the thing with me. she said its all about exposure settings, but a friend of mine who knew about DSLR says the shutter is defective.

if the the problem is the shutter, then your better off buying brand new nalang bro... it's very expensive to replace... basing on my former boss camera nikon D70(this was 5 years ago), he sends it to Hongkong for repair and paid 7K++ just for the shutter alone, wala pay labot sa labor and iya gibayad pagpadala sa hongkong... but anyways try lang og dala sa Camera care basin sad dili shutter ang problem ana...

I think its much cheaper now fafi... I had my d70 shutter repair/changed pag 2007 sa Columbia manila & I paid P5K...

I heard Columbia Cubao accepts/repairs grey units without extra charge...

thanks sa info fafs... hehehehe... so far wala pa man sad ko nagubae og camera(purya buyag lang) hehehehe... glad to know na medyo less na diay karon ang magpaayo og shutter... just incase my d40x decide to die on me...
