honestly i can't find any reason why it is important to define the two.

+1 K for you! Totally agree with you.. You don't have to do the home work for them. Especially if the issue concerned is public knowledge. I'm not sure if some people here are suffering from amnesia or were just born yesterday?? Da heck even the US Army declared that no such records exists regarding his alleged achievements during WWII. Indeed he was a soldier, but to cut the story short he exaggerated his war records.. Sa kadaghan sa mga medals iya display, maayo nalang kung naay 5 ka tinuod.. It was Bonifacio Gillego as one of the first individuals to publicly expose the hoax and it was only in 1986, if i'm not mistaken. Walay naka dare og question and expose ana during the martial law era kay hadlok ma-salvage.. But i could remember during martial law that doubts and suspicions regarding the authenticity of those was medals were already circling around.. In short, FM's record as a soldier is DUBIOUS..

A soldier with HONORABLE DISCHARGE can be buried in the LNB. Marcos was the AFP Commander in Chief and he was ousted by his very own men. So where's the HONORABLE DISCHARGE? FAIL!

A Former President assumed under the premise of REGULARITY meaning, the "FORMER PRESIDENT" referred to must have performed his duties and responsibilities TO SERVE THE COUNTRY in accordance to the constitution he is bound to protect and serve. FAIL!

Marcos is not a FORMER PRESIDENT ..... He is a DEPOSED PRESIDENT.
You guys can't distinguish the difference between the two? Think People, THINK!

True, not all DEAD buried in the LNB are Heroes. But LNB is not known to be the burial site of
MURDERERS, BIG TIME THIEF, BLACKMAILERS, KIDNAPPERS, GOONS, DICTATOR, PLUNDERERS or not known to be the burial site of DEAD DEPOSED PRESIDENTS. Why start now?

You guys will just give a window to the DEPOSED PRESIDENT and CONVICTED PLUNDERER to be buried there too.

wHAT will I TELL MY CHILDREN? That's it's ok to do good, then when you feel greedy rob, kidnap, kill people and your good deeds will still be remembered and you will still be honored?

Bottomline ... Bury MARCOs at LNB and you guys will give no more meaning of HONOR and INSULT all the Filipino People in the eyes of the WORLD.

I agree bro!.. but ang problema man sab karon gud, if you'll weigh things up, its not logical why Reyes was buried in that cemetery. Hes not even qualified but still he was buried, its because nag daghag ang presidente nato ron!... nag decide w/o thinking so karon naunay sa iyang tari!.... Na appoint nlng og chairman pra mo create og committee to qualify FM based on the guidelines... faet gyud taWN!... Sakto na bro e pull out nasi Reyes then transfer na sa public cemetery!...

By default he can be buried there,
but how about if there is a burial place called libingan of the despots can he be buried there as well.

in our 1987 constitution, there is what we call the "civilian supremacy clause". it is found in Art II Sec 3, to wit:

Section 3. Civilian authority is, at all times, supreme over the military. xxxx.

this is precisely the reason why the PRESIDENT, a civilian elected by the sovereign is the AFP Commander in Chief. he sits as Commander in Chief, not because he is a soldier but because his position, as President, is the highest position that a civilian can attain in our Government.

the AFP Chief of Staff is a different person than the AFP Commander in Chief.
