During our college years, we had a joke regarding our Histroy Books written by Zaide: That the books were written with ARMALITE pointed on the author .. so that he will write good things about the regime, the Martial Law .. and most specially the exploits of "army Lieutenant" Marcos .. as a hero in one of those battles! Too bad all those involved in that apparent ambush headed by the young Marcos were all dead and they could not tell their stories .. hehe .. call it coincidence .. or a genius maneuver to make a story!
