Anthony to thank Nuggets fans

A representative for Carmelo Anthony has reached out to The Denver Post about buying an ad in the Sunday paper to allow the All-Star forward to say thank Nuggets fans.

Anthony received his wish of a trade to the Knicks after he turned down the Nuggets’ three-year, $65 million contract extension offer. The Nuggets made Anthony the No. 3 pick in the 2003 draft and he finished 30 points shy of reaching 14,000 points in his seven-plus season in Denver, leaving him as the franchise’s third all-time leading scorer.
