I used sigma 18-200 lens. Not a sharp lens right? But there are ways to achieve sharpness of your photos. No matter what lens you used. I'll give you one and perhaps the most important one to achieve a "tack sharp" photo(see? that is the term "Tack Sharp"), that is to have your camera steady as possible when shooting. And to do that you will need a tripod and a shutter release. If you don't have a shutter release, just use the self timer of your DSLR.
Take note of the term "Tack Sharp", if you do a search on google you will find bunch of articles on how to achieve "Tack Sharp" photos.
