Need tips in overclocking AMD processor

Sa mga katong naa idea sa pag overclock or naka sulay na, can you give some tips or suggestions on how to overclock? Or if pwede ba kaha ni akong specs below kay so far pag check nako sa BIOS wa man koy makita settings for overclocking whether sa standard cmos or advanced cmos features. Basin wala feature akong MOBO ani not sure.

Processor: AMD Athlon 64 7750 Dual Core 2.70ghz
RAM: 2GB DDR2 PC800 (1 Stick)

If mag overclocking ka bro, you need a better motherboard.
I'd recommend a motherboard with UCC or ACC bro. you can find ones at 2,500 or less.

I heard that your processor can be unlocked to a quad core..
AMD Athlon 64-X2 7750 BE can be unlocked Quad-Core (Updated)

no need to look for "overclock setting" in the BIOS. just look for the FSB speed (generally speaking) and slowly increase it.... almost tanan board maka overclock, naay maayo naa poy way ayo, naa poy medjo etc... pero mas maayo sir research sa google para mas effective imo overclock else problema ra imo makuha sa pag overclock.

dont overclock your AMD if...

1. your motherboard isn't designed for even just simple overclocking (check reviews and bios options)
2. your PSU isn't true-rated
3. your memory is overclockable to some extent, careful with this basta AMD!

OC at your own risk. look at my avatar, that's the only memory of my first trial...

Thanks sa inyu mga replies og advices. Anyway it seems nakita na nako sa BIOS katong maka change ka sa values sa FSB, Clock ratio etc after nako gi update ang BIOS version. Ang highest multiplier nako is only 13.5 so ako i try saka ang FSB from 200MHZ to 220MHZ pra mahimo 2.9GHZ ang speed. Tan-aw ninyu payts rana or sobra ra? Willing ko mu take sa risk just for the sake of learning haha tagam ra btaw ta if maguba lol. Post nya nako pohon ang settings diri in an image pra makita ninyu og ma point out unsa angay i adjust.

Aw dara mao ni more or less ang itsura sa BIOS settings nako under Cell Menu where maka adjust ka sa FSB etc.





2.70Ghz ang speed sa ako processor, 200Mhz ang ako FSB, nya max multiplier nako is 13.5. So mao to ako plan increasan ang FSB to 220Mhz pra mu saka 2.90Ghz ang speed ok ra?

itry daw ni TS O..

1. i underclock sa na imo CPU. meaning ibutang s sa X5 imo multiplier
2. i underclock sab imo RAM. kanang FSB/RAM ratio ayaw i auto, ibutang sa X2 or X 3 basta lower sa max multiplier niya
3. i up hinay hinay ang imo FSB @ 5MHZ or kung gadali ka 10mhz
ex. @205mhz ------------ run 5 minute prime 95 ----------- restart then up napud, 210mhz...prime95...215..prime95 until ma BSOD/ error/ or bisan unsa na signs of instability.example @250mhz fsb nag BSOD naka, that means i mu mobo is diha ra taman. set your final FSB to 10-15mhz lower sa max nimo so set it to 235mhz.

next, find your CPU max speed

1. set your FSB to 235
2. maintain imo ram speed (step 2 above)
3. i set imo multiplier sa max ( 13.5) then test prime95 5 mins. kung way error i 10 mins kung wala gihapon i 30 mins kung way error smile gamay naa naka chance stable imo system.


next find your RAM max speed.

i set imo ram speed multiplier hangtod makuha nya ang 667mhz, ayaw i auto.para nako di na kaayo importante i overclock pa ang ram. pero kung gusto ka, follow same steps above.
increase multiplier the test.. use memtest 1 loop lng ..sunod increase napud multiplier the test napud memtest 2 loops and so on ..

finally let the powers combine..CPU/RAM/MOBO speeds. then test...test...test... that means 12hr prime95 test and 7 loops of memtest..

dungagi lang ninyo ang steps if kuwang or kuhai if naay sayop =)

Guys I wanna try pud over clock ako pc pero kulbaan ko basin ma gabu, kung ma guba ba dili ba mavoid ag warranty sa ako parts kay bag-o paman ako AMD nga PC... nya naa pa gud warranty...
