Brad I_dont_know, maybe na misled langka sa imong expectation sa DBTC ug sa real world. Sa ako lang, what if ma master jud nimo ang tanan machine shop fabrication, then what? Unsa imo hope ma accomplish?

College paka ron or graduate na? May I know unsa imong course? Even me, I thought nga after pag graduate nako ug high school sa dbtc, dili nako maglisod mag engineering, specifically BSME, kay from first year to 4thyear, technical man jud ang specialize sa dbtc.

Then, I realized, machine shop is just a minor field of mechanical engineering, and only a part of Machine Design. Assuming you are an expert in machine shop, that doesn't mean machine designer naka. Sa high school, wala ta tudlui ug important sciences such as Strength of Materials, Engineering Materials and Thermodynamics. Much more pa if imong machine e design kay thermal to mechanical energy to electrical pa jud.

Designing and fabricating gears, cams and followers are just a piece of the puzzle. But the most important things is how your machine works, if it is efficient and economical and it doesn't violate the rules of Physics.

True, even me, pag graduate nako ug college, I can say that kulang ra akong nakat unan sa ako mga teachers and professors. Usually you can fill the gap by self education, by experience, or continuing academic education.

Mahal jud brad, kay dili man kada adlaw naay magpa himo or mopalit ug gear. Dili pod bisan kinsa maka buhat ana kay kinahanglan ka milling machine or gear hobber.

If maayo pod pagka gamit ang machine, dugay2x pa pod na maguba ang gears.

Ang ako ra ma proud sulti, kabalo pako ron unsaon pag manual penciling and inking isometric drawing ug gears. Saonz, AutoCad naman ron, UG or Pro-E for some companies.
