ahh.. i get it sir.. so cooked food goes out easily and not being utilized by the dog's body.. sir, ngayo nalang ko advice how to increase my pup's apetite.. he's 2 months old now and i give him dry dog food 3cups a day with one cup on three meals.. i give him Beef Pro Puppy for this is what the prev. owner suggested. can u give me some tips sir? and he's on Pork-o-milk every morning. having ascorbic acid after breakfast and ferrous sulfate after dinner. am i doin this right sir?

You're doing it right..he's 2months old now, so 3 meals everyday..try to do just the beef pro kay mao man lang pud na amo always gipakaon sa amo pit when he was a puppy then when he turns into 5months we switch his food to acana puppy large. Wala na gani need ang milk sa amu pit. Always dry food lang jud.

You better start training your pit now coz you know pit is the strongest dog you can ever have. Anyway, did you ever walk your dog every morning? (for at least an hour) coz walking your dog every morning can take out 90% of the problem, if not then that is why your pit is like that. If you walk him every morning then you will going to have a stable and calm submissive dog. This is the EXERCISE.

Biting?..That's not acceptable for us as a pack leader so all you need to do..when he start biting you push him with your 3 finger right on their neck area (that is where the mama of the dog bite when the puppy does something wrong) and biting you is a wrong and say "NO" with your assertive energy voice don't show to him that you are his dominant. If he's not going to listen then it's time to do an "alpha roll" to him (you can search how to do that on youtube). This is DISCIPLINE.

Last thing is giving affection to our pit. Don't give affection to your dog when he is wild or in dominance stage. You have to let him come to you and make him sit, and then wait till he is calm then you can give your affection to him.

i have to explain sir.. its not really biting.. its more of a play to him..
and i can't take him for a walk yet sir.. the vet says i have yet to finish all the shots b4 i could take him out sir.. is it safe to take him out?

ok.. when he wants to play it's fine.. we do play with our pit with plastic bottles we throw the bottle back and fort (good for us dili nami makapoy. lol) If just me playing alone with him, I just throw the bottle and then he gives it back to me when he still wants to play.

sir ask ko, do you feed ur pit with table food? umm.. like lefover chicken bones and stuff?

I just wan't to share my two cents on this topic sir. It is a common/basic knowledge ( it can be read in almost all reading materials with regard to dog care written by experts) that it's a no no to feed any dog chicken bone because when it breaks, it has a very sharp edges that can cut/ injure your precious dog. It is also a common/basic knowledge that although table/leftover foods taste better than dog foods, but the later is designed/developed to provide the nutritional needs of dogs. Should one keeps feeding table foods to his dog, later on the dog might be picky on feeding time and will rather eat table food because it tastes better than a dog food.
