Finally! Peja Stojakovic to make Mavericks' debut

Peja Stojakovic is expected to make his Mavericks debut Monday night, but it’s unlikely his unveiling will look anything like his eventual role.
Most everybody expects Stojakovic to be the starter at small forward once he gets acclimated to the Mavericks’ system.
For now, it’s expected that he will be coming off the bench since he hasn’t played since late November and is recovering from a left knee problem.
Stojakovic’s entry into the rotation is the first step of a transition for the Mavericks, who have won eight games in a row. When Roddy Beaubois is ready to play for the first time this season, the process will continue........

Mavericks' Tyson Chandler in line to become Top-5 free agent

A funny scene took place in the postgame locker room Saturday in Charlotte as Tyson Chandler was being interviewed by a pack of Charlotte-area reporters after he gouged the Bobcats with 15 rebounds and nine points.

Chandler was asked if he missed North Carolina. Jason Terry interrupted before Chandler could say anything.

“If you got $100 million next summer, he misses it,” Terry said loudly. “If you don’t have $100 million, he doesn’t miss it as much.”

Laughter erupted all over the locker room, including from Chandler. Indeed, the way Chandler is playing, he’s in line to fall right behind Carmelo Anthony, Zach Randolph and perhaps Yao Ming as the most in-demand free agents this summer.
