A boy named Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest. At first, he thinks it's a lucky discovery, something that will bring meat to his poor family for the winter. Instead, it brings a dragon hatchling, and Eragon is soon thrust into a world of magic and power through which he and the dragon must navigate.

i have read book 1 and book 2, still waiting for book 3 to be released.
i like the story a lot, not to mention the characters... can't wait to see the dragon, saphira.

... eragon.... hhhmmm. i'm done with book 1, and so far. it's a total rip off of star wars and tolkien and the Dragon Riders of Pern Beor mountains, c'mon. Varden, that's close to varda. I was laughing the whole time i read the book. I can see the immitations everywhere. And as far as the story goes, it's a Star Wars copy. You see, Eragon is like Luke Skywalker, lost and confused to his true identity. Being sought after by the "empire". The pern influence is evident in Sapphira, her name was one of Perns' dragons..... but, that's the book.

.. the movie however is different. the producers want it to be different from the book due to the book's bad reviews. The only reason to why i'll watch this movie is jeremy irons. nothing more.

... we should expect a mixture of DragonHeart and LOTR and StarWars. Another cool actor in the film is John Malkovich ( he's the villian ), bwehehe. The lead character, ERAGON, is played by a virtually unknown actor.

i just wasted P130 to watch this movie. i found it sooo boring... it would have been better (in my opinion), if i'd have watched agent x-44... sheeeeesh...
