I think in my opinion we should plant more trees on mountain areas in the city to hold certain amount of water brought by heavy rains.More trees will mean little amount of water will be flowed down to the city especially on downtown area...

I think the city (Cebu) commissioned consultants to prepare a drainage master plan several years back. I wonder whatever happened to this. The environmental impact of subdivisions sprouting on the hills surrounding the city also needs to be looked at in terms of the programs specified under the EIS.

Trees will help but if baha sa lower areas ang problema, ang usa sa cause ana kay ang subdivisions na mountain areas. Kay inig ulan, ang tubig na musulod sa ila drainage kay ari padulong tanan sa lower areas so mao na nga baha dayon kay gagmay ra man ang mga canal nya dako ang volume sa tubig. Mura man na ug embudo ang kadalanan sa subdivisions sa bukid kung mag-ulan.
