well, i got my wife a V3. she also wanted to try a flip fone. my opinion: v3 is handy but when texting, if ur used to nokias & such, its going to be one hell of a ride for u. i couldnt add more, since i only used it a couple of times. features are also limited. make sure u try one first before buying. cheers. hope it helps.

let's just say that if you just want a flip phone, there are also other options. the v3 phenomena was mainly due to its architecture as a breakthrough for being so thin. and the materials used in its construction. functionality-wise, the v3 is limited unless you apply some hacks that are available to enhance its usage capabilities.

try to compare all the fliphones within the same price range as the v3 and choose which one you like best. the v3 in now around 8-9k in the market, what other flip phone comes near that price? i think it;s only the nokia 6101 and the 6103.

it would help if you can identify what are the key features you are looking for in a phone then it should give you an idea what phone you should get
