In Criminal Law, the presumption is ALWAYS that the accused is innocent until the contrary is proven.

If we follow your argument, you're saying that since they already tagged a certain group as possible perpetrators of a bombing, dakpon na to sila? Look at it this way, what if you were included in the shortlist of people who were being watched as possible "bomber-men" and you were taken into custody without having done anything, OK ra na? It's always easy to suggest that we trample on the rights of the accused who we think are really scum of society, forgetting that they might really be innocent. Until they're caught red-handed and it's proven that they're really guilty, di gyud sila pwede dakpon. As to what you were trying to imply, there's no proof that the group they were keeping an eye on were the ones behind the present situation. Wa ta kahibaw, bago ra na sila nag-porma sa ilang grupo. Kung sila gyud tuod, aw diha na ta pwede manaway ni Noynoy.

But I agree with you that the authorities shouldn't have let up in their vigilance. Knowing that this country is in a very fragile state and that nutty people capable of pulling off some foolishness are a dime a dozen here, they should never let their guard down, if only to prevent people from starting new threads blaming them (the government, public officials) for the latest mess.

I don't mean to sound mean or like a know-it-all, I just want people to understand. Para at least kung manaway man gani ta, kana sad naa gyud tay klaro ug sakto na punto ba. I mean no offense to you or to anyone. Peace man hehe

i've always enjoyed riding the bus around the city. the a/c was always working, and they had a TV playing the latest from pirated DVDs. it's convenient, affordable and simply the most practical transportation option around the metro. now i can't have such simple pleasure without worrying for my life... i just wish that through this, filipinos can be more vigilant and aware that there is pure, wretched, evil among us.
