Nice to have one even if its in Batanes or Tawi-Tawi. And Nikon knowing 70% to 80% of their cameras in the Philippines are purchased in the "gray market" might be having second thoughts.

By the way, almost every major city or province is also having this consensus.

And it also means the products they will flood the Philippine market once there are service centers will be prone to malfunction and repair - just like Canon.

I agree with this, although the figures genghis stated may be open to debate, but its obvious that so many of the nikon units purchased by at least the people I know are from the grey market. To add to that, a lot of the nikon users who purchased additional lens, purchase 3rd party lens like Tamron, Sigma & Tokina instead of the Nikkor lens due to the Nikkor's very high price tags

And this probably supports the idea why they used facebook instead. With so many units purchased via the grey market, they can't get enough data as to how many Nikon users are here in Phils. National Geographic, a respectable entity in photography, used Facebook in their recent photo contest, why not Nikon.
