Whoa whoa whoa. Are you guys trying to compare speakers at different points of view? So far as what I've read from weedmeister's setups, it's mostly an audiophile's setup while djereza's into the whole movie scene.

LOL, you guys are never going to agree on anything, well, except to disagree. hahaha.

I'm into home theatre myself. I'm afraid those 6-figure setups are out of reach if I'm to make one here in the Philippines. Right now, for my small room, I'm looking into some Wharfdales. They're pretty decent for small rooms and entry-level to mid setups. Accurate sounds reproduction up to the smallest detail. A pair of front speakers LR would be about 9k. Rear speakers is another 8-9k. Center is somewhere around 5k. The subwoofer, actually I'm planning to go for another brand so it might be a little expensive..probably around 15k.

hehehe, we agree to disagree... hehehe nah, I was just dreaming about those speakers... i would never really spend that much on speakers, although they say "never say never" (just like with your modding crap... hehehehe)

yeah, i hear wharfdales are good, although how do their prices go against B&W's? i wouldn't really know the pricing on these things... if you're really into this, have you been to that shop on top of cafe georg, owned by the brother of the owner of cafe georg? (am i going in circles...? its the coffee...) been there only twice, but the guy sells hi-end audio equipment, and sometimes he gets rid of his old stock by slashing prices... check it our bai...

zerone: the focal speakers for home theater..katong sakto lang nila is around 70K..i think 5.1 na siya sir...Sib&Co line nila...its really nice. =)

..a waste of money. But it's kinda hard to get that through to an semi-old man. Tried it once with my Dad..wouldn't listen and got a set anyway.. It's actually good but for the money he spent I feel he could've done better. He's enjoying it rather well though Like they say: What you don't know won't hurt you.
