    @kliz

    The Good Earth is a good read. ^^

    Yes, I've read Life of Pi. Just finished it yesterday.

    Also recently finished Oryx & Crake.

    Am now reading a historical romance by Lisa Kleypas.

    Am still looking for "Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night." SM NBS is my last chance. Mango & Ayala have sold out their copies of this book.

    =========================
    --- warning --- misery loves company, so beware. Am feeling a bit miserable right now; miserable people instinctively want to make other people miserable (you've been warned)
    =========================

    I ordered a copy of Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell from Amazon. It was released last last week. Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time to make the cargo loading last week so I don't know when I'll ever get it. (sighs)

    Am just going to mope a bit here... I deliberately used Standard Shipping which should only take 3-5 days, but there was a lot of holidays last week in the U.S. Instead of 3-5 days, it took about a week. The book reached our U.S. associate the day after the container was loaded. ;_: Wa gyud na timing.

    Japan is also having holidays this week... Twice, my online orders have been delayed by holidays, but at least the delaying of the Japan order isn't as painful as my copy of JS & MN being delayed.

    If NBS starts selling the book before I get my copy, I'll probably end up with two copies. ><;;;

    Not only that... Amazon lowered the price of the book *after* I bought it. (ugh)
