    Acai berry side effects??

    Acai berries are fruit, not drugs, so the side effects of ingesting too many Acai berries or acai berry juice is negligible.

    Acai berries do have large amounts of Vitamins such as Vitamin C (in Flavonid form) and Vitamin E, so vitamin overdoses still apply. Common 'side effects' of a vitamin overdose such as Vitamin C is a messy stool or acidic taste in the mouth.

    Antioxidants, which Acai berries are most famous for, cannot be taken to overdose. Dr. Andrew Schauss, the world's leading expert on acai berries, says that our bodies work better the more Antioxidants we take in, but at the level of 6,000 ORAC TE per gram of antioxidants our body can't use any more in a given day and our liver then flushes the overage out... just like when you drink too much water your veins don't fill up with water instead of blood... It's simply regulated. So there is no way to overdose on antioxidants at all.

    In Dr. Schauss' recent study on a fruit juice blend containing Acai berry juice, he found in blood samples that the Antioxidant compounds from the Acai were very strong during the first two hours after ingesting them... After the send hour they fell of rapidly, so it appears that ingesting Acai juice every 3 hours would be ideal up to an intake of 6,000 TE per gram daily.

    Basically, the more Acai berries you add to your diet, the healthier you should become!
