I've been toying with the idea of an iStorya.net Science Section Awards. The main purpose of this is to identify individuals who not only abide by the rules of this section, but have also been keen on contributing topics that are informative and relevant to the section, so that they may serve as model posters and contributors to the section.
So without further ado, here are some of my picks (not in any special order):
Coolnezz - for being the most prolific Science section topic starter and science news poster--he constantly posts informative topics and news items
moymoy1 - I think his
"Philippine Species of Endemic Fauna" post is one of the most informative posts ever posted in this section. There should be more posts similar to his. One aim of this Section is to act as some kind of "wikipedia" subset, aimed specifically perhaps for indigenous or local interests in Science.
Fritzd - For being the resident physicist, and for his ability to share his expertise and knowhow in this field in a manner that can be understood by the layman
cromagnon - for being the most prolific inquirer/question-seeker...his questions express a thirst for wanting to know more about the subject matter, and are also usually the spark of good threads here that have long discussion with certain topics
So here are the Science Section leading contributors. Other posters should see them as an example of good participation and contribution to the iStorya.net Science Section. Congrats
If you want to thank someone who regularly participates in the Science section, and posted information that has helped you understand something, and whose name is not listed here, you may add to this post.
