GUNDAM 00 - Latest Gundam installment!

The entire Gundam OO storyline was about the people of Earth unifying as one in order to prepare for the dialogues to come. Didn't Aeolia Schinberg already made it clear even from Season 1 guys? So basically, this is another great leap of Gundam to go beyond the usual Earth VS Space Colonies.

yeah, the next Gundam show will have the protagonist teach aliens about flower arrangements bringing about peace.

the so called dialogue here was handled pretty terribly. I mean, there wasn't even a dialogue between the ELS and the Earth to begin with. it was just Setsuna and his bad feelings, beam spam, explosions everywhere and then, poof huge flower and everyone just goes "omg a giant space flower, we should <3 each other X333".

Moreover, Gundam might now step to the Super Robot genre as what OO AotTB displays.

That is because the ELS' way of "communication" to everyone who is responsive to it are hit with excruciating. Moreover, they can't bring it to a more peaceful and less traumatic terms with the humans.

But G Gundam never had aliens to begin with. Only humans vs humans with an evil Gundam being fought by the protagonist. So basically, a Super Robot anime requires humans with their humongous mecha fighting against extra terristrials. If I am not wrong then OO is the first in the line to show such things.

Gundam 00 for me is highly overated. althought the animation and effects looked great its a given from technological advancements. But as for the plot and character development goes, its like watching Goku as a Gundam with a straight forward good vs evil plot, just plain boring. Then came the 2nd season which everything was just a mess especially the character development.

I don't even know how you, or anyone, would arrived to that conclusion. they did something new(in the franchise), but nowhere was it a milestone. it would have been a milestone if there aren't a 100 or so other animes with mecha and aliens.

yeah, their way of saying "hello" is to kill you by assimilating your body. oh very original, Sunrise.

this movie would have been infinitely better if the ELS weren't a bunch of Zerglings rushing en masse towards mankind. you know, if they had some kind of representative, an avatar who Setsuna could try to communicate, get into an actual dialogue(tell them it's those geniuses at the EF that started this war by shooting that Jupiter satellite for the lulz). instead what happened was, Setsuna sees their past, he creates a massive space flower and they all ejaculate.

I think Mazinkaiser too is an SR without aliens.

Super Robot anime is any robot anime that is over the top and is full of manly spirit. they don't necessarily have to fight aliens, but a lot of SR shows do have aliens as villains.
Real Robot is like every Gundam show excluding G-Gundam.

Because of how new this idea of theirs came. It is something that Gundam didn't have for many years.
