Default Trapped dead during flood in Sindulan

wasn't there a proposal by the city government to clear rivers, creeks and canals of shanties and squatters? it would have saved these people from death if only they made a follow-up on that issue. and I think this won't be the last tragedy to happen in this scenario if no actions will be taken.

How? Kay inig abolish nimo sa mga squatters, they will curse you man plus where will they put them? Our government officials never cared for the poor filipinos. They care more for their digits in their bank accounts.

ang engun ani nga trahedya kita ra man gehapon ga tao ang sad-an.. first we do not dispose our garbage properly.. if people would have not thrown their trash at creek/canals/esteros the water would have possibly flown straight to wherever it leads without interruption..second pataka lang tukod ug balay.. kahebaw na gud na sila nga dili maayo magtukod ug balay near rivers/creeks ganhan man jud mupoyo dinha..third, we never understand fully any calamity until we experience it..fourth, some people are damn lazy to do something in situations like these mao naa pa jud sunod mahetabo nga engun ani (God forbid)..

these squatters are given relocation sites or they are given a chance to go to their provinces where they originated.. i don't know if cebu city has this kind of program but other cities do.. they send these squatters to their provinces and enroll them in livelihood program their province is offering..hoping they could renew their life..
