Heavy rains in our country bring mixed feelings to each of us. To some who are in drought or currently on fire it is a blessings from heaven, but to others especially in the flashflood areas of Samar and Leyte, it denotes misfortune and tragedy.
With the recent occurrence of heavy rains, continuous raining since in the middle of last month, wherein it brought us so much damaged to our livelihood, agriculture, infrastructure and human lives, tremendous flash floods, landslides, mud flows, soil erosion, and diseases. Seeing death and hungered homeless people are the disheartening evidences of the fury of calamity. It attacked us back for our irresponsible use of the natural resources.
