ano poh ba mas magnda bilhin,
pentax k-r or canon 500d for beginners?...
and why?...

IMHO --- if your peer group are canon user's then go for canon otherwise if pentax go with pentax, as you go along your interest pwede ka maghiram nang lens or tips sa mga kasama mo na same ang features ng camera so mas easy yong learning curves at saka at home ka...if your in manila i think their are a lot pentax user their unlike dito sa cebu hinde gaano marami, pili-in mo lang yong saan ka masaya at saka kaya sa budget mo both brand are capable enough to cater your photography needs ----yon lang gud luck ^_^
