Another blowout win for the nuggets this time against the sacramento kings.. 3rd straight wins after losing 3 straight... Melo played, contributes 16pts.. Billups still leading the nuggets in scoring while the rest of the gang contributed all night. Good win to start the year...

Wade, Billups named NBA Players of the Week

NEW YORK, Jan. 3, 2011 -- The Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade and the Denver Nuggets' Chauncey Billups today were named the Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week, respectively, for games played Dec. 27, through Jan. 2.


Billups led the Nuggets to a 3-0 week, averaging 25.3 ppg. on .639 shooting to go along with 6.3 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals. His .846 three-point field goal percentage led the league as he connected on 11-of-13 shots from downtown. He has connected on 46 of his last 47 free throw attempts and on Dec. 29 he poured in 36 points to help defeat Minnesota.

Chauncey Billups, Denver Nuggets

Dec. 28 vs. Portland: Recorded 18 points, nine assists, four rebounds and one block in a 95-77 win over the Trail Blazers.
Dec. 29 @ Minnesota: Poured in 36 points, five assists, three steals and two rebounds in a 119-113 victory over the Timberwolves.
Jan. 1 vs. Sacramento: Netted 22 points and added five assists and four rebounds in a 104-86 win over the Kings.
