Help me decide for a laptop (Asus g73jh/alienware m15x)

planning to buy a laptop since my friend broke my asus g1...

my choices are ASUS g73jh-a2 and alienware m15x or any other laptops that you think is a good one to replace my old g1...
your inputs will be greatly appreciated
any pro's and con's

Get Asus where durability, design and features is very good. High recommended.

used to be a big alienware fan but recently i've heard a lot of complaints that alienware quality has gone to the sh*tter. Not saying all alienware are crap but this issue might be something you might want to look further into.

im not a gamer i just want my laptop to be powerful
i only play facebook games... lol
i only use it for internet surfing... so any inputs are welcome...

then you don't really need one of these bay. These are overkill. These are clearly labeled as 'gaming laptops.'
Also, you might want to consider something below 17" for a laptop. While a big screen is nice and everything, it's fuking huge, heavy and cumbersome to lug around. I carry 3 year old 15" HP, and i find it cumbersome; so much more for for a 17" lappy. The purpose of a laptop really is mobility. If you want raw, unbridled power, i suggest a desktop.

yes its really an overkill and an underutilised if i really buy one...
im still tinkering my G1Sn, as of now, only the wlan is not functioning, if i can make it function might get a second hand xps 1730 nalang siguro, not very powerful but can serve as a backup if ever another problem arises sa akong asus...

also thinking of buying the mac desktop instead of laptop
any inputs about mac desktops?

asus kay barato ra compared sa alienware..

bisag unsa na iMac ok kaau. magdepende nalang kung unsa kadako sa screen imong gusto.. mas dako, mas mahal.

I got to see a 22 inches mac desktop... Looks very nice but wa ko kabantay kaayo sa specs
I3 should be okay, murag mahal na if i5/i7

I also like the acer 4820t timeline and much more cheaper than the asus or alienware
But got a good deal with alienware if ever mao ako paliton... If maayo nako ako g1sn might buy the second hand xps 1730 or 4820t timeline, but if not basin alienware ko...
