In the US and EU they're known as spud gun, spud cannon, potato launcher, etc. I'm trying to make one base off a spud gun, with a modified bug zapper (racket type) as ignition.

What's the purpose of the inner PVC pipe or the sardine can inside the larger PVC pipe?

Actually eh I'm also a little puzzled about the sardine can inside the PVC of my Gun. Very weird. I think the sardine can kind of acts like a chamber so that the Denatured alcohol is comcentrated in back chamber so that when you ignite it, it's more concentrated...I think...just my 2 cents worth

Makes perfect sense! Now I get it, it makes the denatured alcohol evaporate slowly, allowing for combustion. No wonder mine just spewed out fire, hehehe. I Will try modifying it adding the sardine can. Thanks for this informative thread.

looking at the picture of the inside of your Boga eh...it does look like that the denatured alcohol escapes easily. Too many places to escape to.

I'm waiting for the picture of the inside of my Boga Gun. You can see how the sardine can fits the PVC pie snugly with onle the cut square hole for escape of the "explosion/sound/blast when you ignite it.

    Anyway eh here it is

    Astig ano hehehe!

This guy turned a lot of heads when we were trying it out. Itsura pa lang oks na hehehe!

I like it when it fires, you can feel the gun kicking back due to the blast. It's quite loud too. Scarred me a little when I tried the first time last New year of 2006. Still in working condition.

Tried it last December 4 still a head turner and makes a very load bang!

    PS

My gun has the features of the large boga the guy in the youtube video has

    - the "lata" inside the PVC
    - the igniter
    - the unscrewable end for easy reload of the "ammunition".

All of these features were in my boga 4 years ago na heheh!

here's a picture of the back end. Screwed/Closed.

    Opened/unscrewed and ready for reload.

This is the back part of the gun bro. if you look at the pic, you'll see it that this is the back part of the PVC pipe that's located on top of my gun.
