bay i just bought the logitech speaker z-5500for my notebook soundcard, ako na pansin nga inig test nako sa channels front left & right ra lagi ang ma detect sa testing which is wierd? so far sa ako pag search sa net wla pa man sila maka2bag ani na issue. tabangi ko bi. naglibog gyud ko. ako na nasulayan gamit ang 3 ka input cables (lime,orange,black) ug optical mao ra man gihapon ila results.need your tech advice and help.

Audigy doesn't do Dolby Digital Live. This means that the only time you'll ever get a digital 5.1 signal from your optical SPDIF cable is when you're playing a game with Dolby Digital 5.1 or a DVD movie with Dolby Digital 5.1. Other sounds coming from your system will be treated like any ordinary analog signal and that's why the Z5500 can't read it through SPDIF (cos it's not passing there in the first place).
As for your analog jacks. Sound testing should be ok as long as everything has been setup correctly. You should be able to hear your 5.1 sound (DD or non-DD). Just be sure to select 6-channel input when using your analog jacks otherwise it'll be in the Dolby ProLogic mode which processes your signals but up to 2 channels only.

ye i already set in windows. by the way i have this creative audigy 2zs soundcard and a HP Pavillon dv5191 EA. I think i have to bypass the spdif so that the card wount use its own decoder.
@Zerone_nul: where can i possibly fing such setting.anybody can reply,pls i need help kay mura man nadispirado ko sa speaker baya.

Nag testing ko last week ug 4.1 system ni play man tanan speakers usign MP3's and all the games i tried...
im not sure whats specficially wrong, maybe its a software setting ?

actually mo play gyud siya pero lahi maan gyud iya output.makadungog gyud ko something is missing.mura dili gyud siya fully blast as in im not getting what im expecting. any expert advice? also, can you advice me how to break in the said speaker?
