Let's see. Rallies are headed by left-wingers carrying big red flags and are hungry for publicity. Politicians who have no shame sitting their butts on congress talking about 'unlad' and 'mamamayan' but are no more less than corrupt criminals who steal our money from scholarship programs, senior citizens, and health benefits?

I say this country is as corrupt as a communist country, so why better off?

i really like the idea of N.Korea when they isolated themselves for almost 60 years, their discipline is really tight. of course, you have pros and cons. they're unified, that counts for a country who wanted to prosper. but many people crave to be free, do freewill, etc.

any political genre would if there's no graft and corruption, if there's unity... i think it would work

    respect.

it was just my "humble opinion - IMHO"... didn't object you ... but again... no rallies or discipline, you can't do that coz if you do... you get imprison or worst... get shot in North Korea! Democracy is good but sometimes people overuse it... that disrupt the life of common people...

there is no perfect society that exist or ever exist or will ever exist... so, if philippines better off as a communist country? nah... it will be the same, same people that governs ... same ol' corruptions... blah blah blah....

all the descriptions about NoKor that you've mentioned are really good.. but you haven't included the CONS that this country is experiencing now.. not to mention the fact that they are at the forefront of one of US's targets for WMD.. have you seen that documentary about how a North Korean child was portrayed in a somewhat cruel, yet devastating act of "communism" as per se?

now tell me, give ONE VALID reason why their isolation was an advantage to them rather than being a disadvantage..

Nope. based on what? marxism ideology?

Yup, Marxism ideology Modern Communism is another name for Marxist Philosophy.

NOKOR is not a Communist State its a dictatorship. COmmunism is not socialist state neither is it a dictatorship.

The only problem with Marx was that he never left something out to be followed. All he gave was a theoretical framework for Communism. So it was left to people who "adhered" to Marx to create a state which is Communist. Lenin was close, he wasnt sucessful, Stalin was purely totalitarian, Trotsky never proved anything he was sent to God by Stalin before Trotsky could have done anything. Mao fought a Civil war, it was not a revolution, and the state of China that time didnt qualify for a jump to Communism.

A Communist state is not a state of Robots where we the people, would work like Robots as what the State demands us to do. that is a misconception.

communism hasnt proven anything it only add burdens to its people it hasnt proven anything thats why its an ideal. How could it be a burden to its people if its Goal is to takeaway the exploitation of the lower class? The burden lies not with the majority of the people but with the Middle Class like most of us here. The middle Class doesnt want to change even though so many less fortunate brothers and sisters of ours are dying of hunger because of the pressures of the Kapitalist System. Why the Middle Class doesnt want to Change? Why so many of us here sees total Change as a Burden? its plainly because we are sooo Comfortable with our status now, yes we may not be rich, yes we may have some financial problems, but we are soo comfortable because unlike the less fortunate we could still afford to eat and go to ayala and buy overpriced coffee and party and gimmick... so thats the reason why many of the middle class doesnt want change. Comfort of what we have now and security of what we would still have in the future.

no! communism is a dead ideology... quite not. the Cold war maybe over, but Russia was never a Communist State to begin with. its not quite dead. MArx will forever be a part in the History of Ideas. His was of social justice and Mans' Self-actualization, the latter many of you might not have considered because of the misconceptions to Marxist Philosophy. A dead ideology? tell it to the American Universities with their professors and students and to the Universities all over the world. To South America, To Africa, to some many parts of the World. It is anything but Dead.

I dont believe that The War waged by the Red Rebels are geared towards communism. Though they might believe that they are actually fighting for such ideals, well for me i dont believe they are actually fighting for it, neither do i believe that they would be sucessfull. I dont believe in their ideals, plainly because they have deviated too much from Noble cause. They are the victims of their LEaders. Especially from the guy in Utrech, Netherlands.

I dont think any of them are communist. I for one dont believe in them if they consider themselves as such.
