Simple ra bro - CONFLICT OF INTEREST
You can't be sure na he's giving you advice on what's best for you, and not best for HIM.
Sample:
Dili ka sure kung Mitsubishi or Toyota imong paliton - Adto ka sa Toyota mangutana kung unsay mas nindot? What if adto ka sa Mitsubishi mangutana?
Di ka sure if insurance ang mas nindot or time deposit - What do you expect to hear if adto ka sa insurance company mangutana? What if sa bangko ka mangutana? (Simplification, I know naay affiliate insurance companies ang mga bangko)
Pero you get the point di ba?
Don't believe anang "trust me, I don't get a commission anyway so I'm telling you this for your own benefit" If walay fee, they earn through other means.
of course everyone will say "our product is the best!". And if you're not familiar with basic financials and investments, madala jud ka samot na if you don't shop around. Mao bitaw halinon gihapon kaayo ang whole life insurance and time deposit diri sa Pinas kay mao ray nahibaw-an sa majority of the population. Even "get rich quick scams" sell like pancakes.
if you don't trust the advice then you can also be your own broker. Aron kita jud ka how the investments work and you can make your own decision. Mao na amo gi recommend if di ka ganahan mo salig sa uban. Unfortunately, you can't go to most companies and ask them to hire and train you about their investment products. IMG can, and mao na rason nag broker ko. I manage my own investments and give advice to my family, friends and clients.
But some just don't have time or don't find time to learn investing(IMO they should!) so they will need advisers.

Agree gyud ko nimo ani bro. But as I was saying, be wary if ang nag-advice nimo namaligya pud nimo ug product. Kay dili na ka sure if nag-advice ba gyud siya nimo or gibaligyaan ra ka ug product.
This is what I don't get about your post. I assume naay "fee" para i-train ko about sa investment products. So, basically, if I don't trust your advice on investment products, I pay you a fee instead so I can sell the same investment products you are selling? I pay you to sell the products you are selling?
Pardon me if sayup akong understanding, dili gyud ko familiar sa IMG.
P.S. I hope you don't feel I was alluding to IMG when I posted my investment principle.
