NOT A GOOD DEVELOPMENT FOR CEBU BANDS

this really saddens me...

first of all, cebuano bands should get the recognition of their music. we all agree with this right

we all know starting out a band is such a great undertaking. dili lalim mag tokod ug banda, magapalit ug instruments. thats why when the bands have gigs, they should also be given their share for the enjoyment they endowed upon us....

a lot of gig venues already sprouted here in cebu and the good thing is they are accomodating cebuano bands regardless of any genre. the best part was the bands were given TFs for their performance. it was a relly good thought to let cebu bands play in this venue as well as getting a fair amount for their hardwork. the venue owner was very supportive of the bands. this ought to be the standard treatment of the bands whenever they play in a venue and i salute the owner for this endeavor. but what saddens me most is that there are persons who organize gigs for the different bands here in cebu. the worst part is they declared that "ok lang ang mga banda nga dili ma bayran basta maka tukar lng cla" this made an impression from the owner not to fund their gig whenever they are the ones who organizing it.

woah, woah, woah! this is not good. imbis naa na unta suporta ang mga banda, gi balik man hinuon ang karaan setting nga pwede ra dina bayran ang mga banda kung manukar. tsk tsk tsk. sa kadtng organizer, ma luoy unta mu sa mga banda oi. tinulo.an ug singut na ilang pag perform. give them what they deserve.

and to all those bands whether new or old, watch out for these people. ur music is ur treasure. dont waste ur time on them. PLEASE!!! ay mo kabalaka kung di mo katukar sa ila gig. praktis lng jd ghapn mu. u guys really deserve a much better deal.

i see ur point bro. i know organizing a gig means spending a lot of money. to the point of even not gaining something out of it. if we blame the sponsor's infidelity, lets not put the band into the organizer's problem. the organizer is the one who handles the sponsorship deals and not the band. from what ive heard, "this organizer" has all the funds for the event. the sad thing is nagpaka martyr cya saiya gibuhat. laliman ka gi ingnan nya ang venue owner (owner gives the TF to the organizer) nga pwede ra dili bayran ang banda basta maka tukar lng cla. thats being unprofessional on the part of the organizer. mura man gi exploit lng ang mga bands. and then we cant blame some of the bands nga mu accept ani nga fate kay tungod pd tagsa ra cla maka tukar. pero dili pd nato ing ani.un ang banda oi.

if ur organizing a gig, u nid to come up with a real, good and big plan. even small time organizers need to have a plan. they even hire contractual security for their events in case kung naay mga gubot2. in ur case nga naay mga gubot2 sa imu event, i think its a big event pd bro. small time events are intended in bars lng. if u want to talk about getting a profit out of organizing gigs, come up with a sound plan. get the sponsors trust and also the bands who are performing on the said event. ayaw dalia ang event. ang uban gani mag plano months before pa para lng ma successful even though di jd na ma achieve ang 100% success..

the organizers should do their real job. much as well as the bands also do their jobs just to make the organizers event successful. baws2 raman tngai ni. tabang2 ra sa tanan. pero dili pd tngai ta pwede mu ingun lng nga "PWEDE RA WAY BAYAD ANG BANDA BASTA MAKA TUKAR LANG CLA" thats a no-no!

Bim, libre man sad ang mga concert himuon mao na way talent fee ug organization man ta dili gyud ingun nga pang comercial....... unlike the gig na gipasabut ni nienee murag dinagko kaayu........ ang mga banda pa man gani ang maghimo sa stage sa ato..... di ra na banda man sad ta kita pa man gani motapal if naay taplan kasabut lang gyud ta sa una nahitabo nato nga moaudition pa lang bayad na ta ug 200.ooPhp unya dili pa gyud dawatun nga makatukar haskang paita kaagi nato sa una hahaha!

i think nienee is talking about an indoor scence..like in resto-bars or something..

in baliguat's case, i see it as an outdoor event..is that right, baliguat? probably a little different than an indoor-type, and maybe more complex than that defining that there
are more factors to tackle with in terms of the venue, rentals, labad nga bands, mga bouncer, ang pakals, ang permit, ang promotion ug labi na ni baliguat naa say banda murag manukaray sad and etc. etc...
cause if indoor lang cya nga event i think the people organizing it centers their attention to promote the event, gather the bands, and make it successful..
in his case, it is physically straining, mentally draining and seriously bankrupting...

nakasuway sad ko ug gigs nga outdoors that are free..sauna sulti-an nga "pang-exposure lang", and we're fine with that..cause it seems to be true.. and you know most of these gigs are for free..so no big deal ug dili mi bayran..

pointing out to those organizers nga pasagdaan lang ang bands in some events like, walay bayad ang mga manukar, pero nay bayad entrance 25..or dagko kau ug mga banners sa mga sponsors nga mga ngilngig...kana sayop najud na... frustrating..but it happens... i mean, its not about the monetary value noh, but in return bitaw, as a token or something even though unsa ka gamay, pamlete or pang snaks, the band that plays that night would surely appreciate their worth for the event.. kay im sure naa jud nay budget ang banda ug payter ka ug sponsors, cause those bands are what people are paying for with the tickets..of course, less of all the expenses. so far as i recall, naa jud miy pamlete or pangsnaks ig uli namo bisan gi sultian mi nga way bayad ang tukar..
