    It's okay to have corporate health care (short term health care) from your company. Naa mo ana type of health care, because it's one of the benefit that the company can give to the employees but the problem is that when you retire or resign from the company then you can't have it(health care). You can't even use...once ma resign ka or retire. Do you know why? THE ANSWER IS THAT YOU DON'T OWN IT. IT'S CORPORATE HEALTH CARE. IT'S NOT PERSONAL HEALTH CARE. hehehehehehehe

    When you retire at the age of 60, Kasagaran ana nga age...mao na ting sakit...ara mang gawas ang mga cancer,etc.... ok ra kung gipakatawo ka ug tawo...then what if not. Luoy kaayo ka.

    Most people don't prepare for their future. They rely on their kids, pensions, etc.

    What if wala kay pension, ang imo mga kids kay adunay daghan utang...then what happen...luoy gihapon ka....

    You must get health care when you're healthy, because you don't know when you get sick. In short, you must prepare. You must have protection from your assets. You must also protect yourself from financial bankruptcy.

    The main reason why people experience financial bankruptcy is that all their savings "nawala na kay gibayad sa hospital". They think to have health care is expensive but they don't know that it is expensive if you will get sick.

    I hope you learn something what I said.

    Merry Christmas....hehehehhe
    Mao jud.

Hmmmmm

    Be mindful that health care doesn't only cover expenses when you get sick but also will help you avoid getting sick. Health care companies normally does have free physician consultation. This is a win-win situation because if the insured doesn't get sick, the company won't spend a lot.

    Yeah, this is true if the insured doesn't get sick, the company won't spend a lot but the important thing is that you must have health care or hsa so that you don't worry if you get sick, because HSA or the company shoulders your expenses. It's also protection from your assets.

    That's actually why it's a win-win situation. In reality, the company takes some sort of "gamble" when a person gets a policy because the premium that is being paid is so minute compared to the face amount that is being covered. Such risk decreases in time because the insured pays more and the total premium paid gets closer to the face value.

    Nobody wants to get sick, even if he/she has a health care plan. Hence, the free medical check up is both for the good of the policy holder and the health care company. It is good for the policy holder because it is for free (everybody prefers free after all) and for the company because it will spare them from spending too much.

    However, that's the real purpose of health care plans, for emergency purposes. No matter how good we take care of ourselves, there are circumstances out of our control and that's where health care plans comes in. But as far as precautions are concerned, the policy holder takes care of his/her health and the company strives to keep the health of the policy holder up. Both are looking at the same direction, protect the health of the policy holder and at the same time protect the assets/make profit.

    Mao gani nga win-win situation... Syempre, Nobody wants to get sick even if that person has a health care plan. Alangan man sad nga mag ampo ka masakit... dili man sad. You're correct that the real purpose of health care plans is for emergency only.

    The free health care aspect of health care plans is something that many people overlooked. It is actually the company's way to keep the policy holder from getting sick and in the process from spending too much.

    Here's some of the things that I observed and concluded:

    1.) The premiums (individual health care) that are being paid to the company are normally higher than physicians fees which are given free by health care companies.

    2.) Once something is found during check ups, the health care company doesn't cover the medication expenses, it's still the policy holder's expense.

    This is not to bash the health care industry but I'm trying to lay these out so to be transparent of how the health care business works.

    True, but not all health care company.

    - Maybe you're right. My point of view about premium higher than physicians fee are:
    * Expenses of the company
    * Salary of their employees
    * Other matters.

    2.) Once something is found during check ups, the health care company doesn't cover the medication expenses, it's still the policy holder's expense.
    - Hmmmmm....Maybe sa First year of accumulation.

    Hmmmm.....no comment kay basin malawgaw hinoun ang Health Care Industry....hehehehehe

    I understood your point bro.

    ^^Hope that it won't be taken the wrong way. At least some might be enlightened on how the business really works though most of the people really won't care about it because all they're after is are the benefits.
