practically, what's your purpose of creating a social network? when you can't compete with facebook in terms of popularity... and even if you're able to imitate facebook's style of design and funcionality, people will only say crap things about it cuz it's only an imitation.

I don't get it when you said you created Bigfoot Ascendant in 2 days including "Huge Backend";

I looked at the site and from what I see there is nothing special about it. Of course it could be done in 2 days or less (minus the design).

Using a CMS is easy to implement such a site, its just a site with contents there's not a lot of programming into it, maybe the search functionality but not the shopping cart/webstore because it is an amazon webstore.
