depende sa material imo gamit. some generic white paste just dry up in a couple of months use. the more high end stuff dry out in years, some you dont have to change as long as you dont remove the heatsink.

check upa lang brod, ako dugay2x nako wala ka butang ug thermal paste. generic ra gani to. basta kugihan lang ka mo limpyo2x sa abog sa imong PC..

Mubutang rako thermal paste if I put on a new procie... or if I experience overheating problems, that's it.
I follow this rule... "If it's not broken, don't fix it".

Abog ako kwarto and wala ko portable nga vacuum so kailangan nako tanggalon ako HSF para i-brush off ang abog, kay natanggal naman ako HSF ako nalang pud re-apply ug thermal paste. This happens maybe 3 months above depede hangtud kanus-a nako maagwanta ug tan-aw ako rig naputos na ug abog hehe. Btw, if mag-reapply follow the link gihatag ni carlo. Naay usa ka client nako a few months back, iya gipailisan iya HSF kay naguba, nadugay2 ko ug tangtang sa stock HSF kay nitapot sa processor with thermal paste in between wala jud na ilisan sukad sa pagpalit, OEM man pud nga rig, ACER. Pagtang2 nako naapil ang processor, niya nakalock pa ang latch sa processor. Maygani wala nabali ang pin, nakurat kayo ko. Pagtan-aw nako sa thermal paste grabe ka baga. Murag naay pagdumot ang nag apply ad2. Naabtan ko ug minuto pag lugit sa processor gamit nako knife. And another minute removing the paste with alcohol.
