I think that conyos are better than those who really refuse to even try to speak the language. At least they try, although in a very annoying manner. As for those who think it's not appropriate or for those who think it's OA, I think it's hightime for you guys to think deeper.

True, it's not a necessity but when you're going abroad or when you're dealing with foreigners or even those who couldn't understand any other languages/dialects than English, it's the best medium you've got. We often laugh at Manny Pacquiao and those other people who try so hard to speak it but aren't that fluent but I think most of us never realized that they do it not because they needed to be looked differently but because they needed to be understood and that they are very much eager to learn.

It's just too bad that most people speak the language to sound as if they're a notch higher above all the other people in a certain place just because they can speak English.

naa bitaw mga arte og mga paka aron ingnon.... but some
'espokening dollars" are nice people.... got friends from ADMU and in other kick ass expensive schools... Im only from some university somewhere.... I may at times feel out of place when im with them coz they truly can afford and spend like crazy.... but that really didnt bother me.... they can afford BMW`s or some really fancy cars.... I may ride on a crappy PUJ on my way to school.... or some pedi cab.... but hey thats life... some can afford while some can not... i certainly can not afford a BMW.... but hey I got friends who can and are good to me.... and never made me feel less of a person just becoz I aint rich..... if they can speak english.... I can too.... and 4 other languages that they cant speak..... but hey ........ thats life...... rock n roll inday.....hehehehahaha
