    sakto ni ang nksuwat?

Excerpts from the book, Light of the World: The Pope, the Church, and the Signs of the Times, were published yesterday by L'Osservatore Romano, the official Vatican newspaper. The pope's comments follow his controversial assertion in 2009 that the rising tide of HIV in Africa could be made worse, not better, by the distribution of condoms. He was speaking to journalists as he visited Africa, where the majority of HIV fatalities occur.

WoW! All the while I thought I wouldn't see the day coming when the Pope would say something like that. He totally shook up the world with his stand.

What's the fuss about the rubber? It is simply answering to one's call for responsibility rather than being such a hypocrite about one's sexual activity. It's all a matter of choice and not having someone dictate us as to how we live our lives responsibly.

Just look at the depressed areas with a lot of children who were born for the lack of *** education or prolly they follow the upperhand of doing the "moral" way of running one's family as contraceptives as out of the rule. Can you possibly say that these parents who simply leave their kids in the streets to fend for themselves as RESPONSIBLE PARENTS coz they didn't use RUBBERS?

    That's total BS.

At this day and age, we should be practical already rather than being so righteous and breathing in hypocrisy because at the rate we are going, the statistics are sky-rocketing to high heavens with regard to teenage pregnancies, STDs, poverty-stricken kids as the list goes on.

My hats off to the Pope!

The comments were made in a book-length interview with a German journalist, Peter Seewald. In the case of a male prostitute, says Benedict, using a condom to reduce the risk of HIV infection "can be a first step in the direction of moralisation, a first assumption of responsibility, on the way toward recovering an awareness that not everything is allowed and that one cannot do whatever one wants".

There is a conflict between the so called propagation of life and the preservation of life being created, and of course it would be rather ironic and futile for the continuation of life, if the former is favored giving less importance on the latter.

It is quite sad to think that survival nowadays requires relinquishing morality, and in fact even placing their lives on the line just to earn something, so I guess that's why the church steps in and try to resolve the issue in a manner that still upholding the recourse of beliefs.

But still, this is became applicable to everyone just because of the threat of that most malevolent AIDS disease, not because moral issue about s3x is standed down.
