No it's not just you. If the new campaign is targeted at an international audience, then the slogan fails. Hard. Changing Wow Philippines is just as bad as changing Malaysia, Truly Asia. If they're going to change it, the least the DOT could do is pick a slogan that doesn't remind you of a tacky gay pageant.

When I first heard the slogan, I thought it was a game show in ABS-CBN! WOW Philippines was short and sweet!

Malacañang thought wrong when they decided that the country should be more "showbiz". What is soooo Effed UP is that mainstream showbiz in the Philippines is one of the worst aspects that is very influential in dumbing down the citizens of the country.
