    sa govt ka work nice ang benefits pero kadaghanan but not all mapatay or mahunong jud ang growth kung asa ka na linya. kay kadaghanan man ang trabaho is routine, gamay rajud ang magAdvance schooling sa imong field. you really need to pass the civil service exams Unless you are a board passer of whatever exam hatag anang PRC sa mga graduates, AND/OR pagGraduate nimo CumLaude up imong nadawat na merit (Please ask civil service ani TS kay dili kaayo ko sure unsa jud, but its somewhere in there hehehehe) in both cases makaApply na ka dretso for eligibility without taking the civil service exams.

    A new memo from the csc was passed i think early this year or late last year requiring all govt agencies to hire only personnel for permanent positions. Casuals/Temporaries are no longer allowed to benefit from vacant item positions.

    Onins is right, di lang sa application ug hiring kutob ang backer. You will also need one for every promotion or transfer. Sa amo lang I know people who have been occupying the very same entry level position 20 years+ running.

    right, ang cum laude, dili na necessary na mo take og civil service exams.

    depende kung asa ka na agency. ang feedback sa last union meeting, kay nashock ang higher management to know that in some branches naay 18years in service na wala pa napromote. mao na gidali dali dayon ila promotion. murag target sa amo management na di jud molapas ang 5yrs before the next promotion. that is kung di ka pasaway. strict man gud sa attendance ang HR. and like in private companies, depende sad sa bossing kung deserving ba ka sa promotion o dili.

    naay opportunities to study abroad. ma rank and file or officer. ang latest katong sa Japan. yearly ni siya and with allowance. ganahan unta ko mo apply pero tapulan ayo ko himo og dissertation/research paper hehehe. sa local, daghan taga government motake og masters, particularly in public administration & management kung nag aim ka og higher position.

    like everything else, swerte swerte ra jud ang panrabaho sa gobyerno.

    Hay nako...bisan eligible ka pa sa Civil Service then wala kay backer mosulod nimo sa Government then it's still useless. Trust Me. I've been assigned/designated to Cebu Provincial Capitol in 4 years.

    sayang imong years of service kung casual lang ka sa gobyerno. dapat maka pasar ka sa CSC aron eligible ka and naa ka item kung asa ka ma assign nga agency sa govt office. mas nindot gyud kung naa ka work sa govt kai stable gyud ang imong work no worry ang bankruptcy issue
    then f mo retire ka daku gyud benefits makuha nimo basta nag tarong ka sa serbisyo
