ahh grabe sd kng dili, it's not like iya gdaot ang cebu..hahaha..nktawa sd ko ba ky murag automatc na lge ni, "should we welcome him in cebu?" mura sd ka noynoy ba..hahaha..
anyway, there's really nothing wrong with the slogan message-wise, it just wouldn't sell..the design is oldschool, murag hinimo ra sa MS Paint, they could have done a better job and used Photoshop..
PILIPINAS KAY GANDA, in short, mga pilipina kay gwapa.. ngiga promotion sa philippines sa mga babae da!
the best gihapun ang WOW PHILIPPINES!
Like around the nation, "Pilipinas Kay Ganda" is highly unpopular in Cebu. The new DOT should consult with tourism pros here in Cebu and in nearby provinces that make up Central Visayas. It's so bad that they had someone (with no knowledge about Cebu) write a poor and inaccurate description of Cebu as a tourism destination.
Last I checked, a lot of people have expressed negative views about Lim and the DOT. They are questioning his leadership and credibility a lot.
I think our slogan should only be in ENGLISH, other than the Foreign Nationals can understand it but I think using Tagalog as slogan will not represent the entire ethnic groups in the Philippines.
It should be engl. as i prefer. kay murag pinoy raman mka sabot Mag ask pa mga foreigners kun unsay meaning.
ang ilang pangan sa site kay naay kaparihas nga porn site..ahaha!
naglaunch2x na ra ba sila, bongga pa jud, then after all the batikos ingon lang dayon nga pwede pa ichange hahayz usik2x lang kwarta sa people, dapat ila una untang gipa out through media, i just think that this is something everyone should care about or should agree on
Some comments from the GMA news link DOT may drop new slogan; PNoy to meet tourism chief - Nation - GMANews.TV - Official Website of GMA News and Public Affairs - Latest Philippine News
Looking at the interviews, it seems even the DOT Sec is not convinced by his own product, he looks unsure and uncomfortable, unable to answer questions satisfactorily instead relying on denials. Yikes!! Senator Santiago is right, there are no heavy weights on this government, The CA better cull this lightweights before the commit anymore disasters. - Eugene_Pet
This admin campaigned that they are supposed to be the ones to LISTEN to the people. In this case, please just swallow your pride and drop this slogan NOW.
DOT officers should learn that the slogan is not everything. Better spend on other things that really matter like upgrade the NAIA international terminal, which looks and feels like it has never improved since the 1970s.
Also, Poland and Spain use the native name of their country in the LOGO, not slogan. BIG difference! Both countries also have large number of tourist guides capable of speaking French, German and other languages aside from English; and market extensively in France, Germany, etc. That's the reason why their tourism office chose Polska and España in their logos. So they don't have to change from Poland to Polen to Pologne or from Spain to Spanien to Espagne. - GoldenTiger
