students raise voice to protest because of certain cause/s.

tuition fee increase, reduction of scholarship grants, or
omission of school subsidies are some reasons why students
go out from their comfort zone...go on streets and actively
    partcipate rally, to protest.

mostly, student activists raised from government state-run
colleges/universities like in manila, we have pup, up, or
pamantasan. their tuition fees are free, or subsidized by our
    government.

in cebu, we only have cnu or a very few of them with small
population, because majority of our students here are studying
    at privately-run schools/universities.

cebu have also a quite number of scholars; however, these
grantees are funded by private institutions, establishments or
    private organizations.

mao nga DILI kaayo actibo ang mga cebu students compared to
manila kay gamay raman ang apektabo kung mag slash ug budget
    ang governo.

In the first place ... do they really have to know NATIONALISM to be in the STREETS doing their thing like RALLYING ?

In a group of a 100 ga RALLY , basin ang ORGANIC ana nila naa ra sa 10 to 15 , the rest kay mga binayran , props , etc .

I remember back in 1994 in USC , naay ga RALLY about TTUITION FEE INCREASE , pero maysad kay mga ga RALLY dili estudyante ang majority .

How true. Some of those who join rallies don't even understand the issue at hand. Kuyog-kuyog lang so they can brag about it and be considered one of the cool crowd.

Pero I really think that students nowadays are becoming more and more indifferent to the political problems of the country.
