i'll give you one reason why paypal doesn't offer service here in the philippines

CASE:

I want to buy an item in manila.... i am in cebu

I have to send money to an account in BPI manila. I go to a branch of BPI and deposit the money to the account. since the account is in manila. they asked me to pay 100 pesos..... would a few keystrokes in the computer the BPI teller presses it costs me 100 pesos....

I asked that to the teller since this is a real scenario that happened to me......

BPI is BPI.... all branches should be connected.... why do they ask me to pay 100 pesos to deposit to an account in manila... what is the use of computers and the banking branch network..... do they send my money by airmail so i have to pay 100 pesos? its as simple as pressing the keyboard of a computer and the money is sent.... but pay 100 pesos... what a dumb service

In short......... excessive bank charges to move money.... that is the main problem
