ask your friends that you hang out with most often nga nay mga dslr. kay if kadaghanan nila kay naa sa 1 lng ka brand, then that's good for you kay you can test our their equipment before you invest on your own. or you can borrow their lenses, flashes, etc. if they allow. pero to some people, borrowing lenses is like borrowing a toothbrush. personally, ok ra jud ko hulman ako equipment. pero only if salig na jud ko sa tao nga mu hulam.
anyway, if divided sila between canon or nikon or sony or whatever, borrow their cameras and see asa ka nga system comfortable.
1000D and D3000 are practically the same camera. Correct me if I'm wrong guys (only if you've had the privilege of using the two cameras extensively).
If given those two choices, I'd choose the 1000D because I'm already inside the Canon system (I'm using a 500D), and most of my friends are Canon users.

Mao sila nindot nga DSLR for starters. Para wala nakay blema ug upgrade.

Sa ako experience i try sa medyo obos nga level. Then decide dayon kung ganahan kapa mo upgrade...hubas ang tinigum pero sige lang lingaw man pud...Hobby gud ni nato...
