portfolio site question

i know most webmasters or web creators use their names as domain names for their portfolio site.. but i just want to ask if mao ba jud na ang naming convention for portfolio sites? should it be a .com as well?

or can you guys give me suggestions how to name a portfolio site appropriately?

Yeah, I think it's better to use your name as its domain name. Also so that it can be easily searched when someone or an employer wants to search your name as the keywords on google.

But sometimes it depends on the purpose why you created the portfolio site. For example, if it's for employment, then you use your name as I've said earlier. But, if it's for freelancing, it might not be good to use your name but a virtual business name instead so that prospects may think you as a business entity with people rather than just one person.

I guess it depends... people have trouble pronouncing my name
so my online portfolio is something easier to remember... shooterforhire.net

but my business is legitimate, registered, and I do pay taxes

I can only advice one thing.. Branding..

if you think your name is a good brand then go ahead.. for me.. nickname or alias is good.
and it doesn't matter if .com ba o dli.
