Competition not just in business but also in tourism is good. Tourists will have more choices and so will tour operators. Provinces on the other hand will need to keep improving their respective tourism industries.

Oh yeah, The Freeman acknowledged CamSur's rise.

Now that Camarines Sur has surged to the top, Cebu officials should learn a lesson or two from its success. That the Bicol province's innovative tourist management has paid off is only a manifestation that a drive to entice visitors should not only anchored on powdery white beaches, scenic mountains and old churches.

Cebu has a lot to offer - from centuries-old churches and parks to festivals to fine beaches - to be a major magnet for local and foreign tourists. Yes it has been a major tourist destination.

But Cebu no longer holds the biggest share of the pie. It no longer has the monopoly of tourists going into the provinces.

Mas na impress pa ko sa tourism sa Bohol where there are actually things to do like the loboc river cruise, tarshier experience, hanging bridge etc... sa Cebu kay... Magellans Cross... Taoist temple... then beach na dayon... not much to do after that.

Cebu needs more activities to offer sa mga tourists unya dapat dili privatized to one resort where not all can enjoy. Good start na nang mga zip line pero hopefully more will follow.
I share the same sentiment. Naka adto sad bitaw ko sa Bohol and I would say they are better organized bisan nauwahi sila sa tourism compared to Cebu. They have very clean, sweet smelling comfort rooms for the visitors to use. Ilang mga beaches wala kurala unlike Lapu-lapu and the beaches in the towns of Cebu nga gipang kural out of greed of the resort owners which is by the law illegal but has the blessing of the local government officials because they too have their own resorts. Tan-awa ang Cam sur, their beaches looks pristine even if tourists are flowing in kay wa hilabti ang natural beauty. Most accomodations are built with set back nga layo kaayo sa beach. Kinsa may ganahan ana. In fact come summer, morag mo adventure mi ining Cam Sur.

Laayo pa kaayo sa tinood nang CamSur oi in terms of progress.
Asphalto man gihapon ang gigamit?
