We are just dwelling on FACTS. What particular military aircraft lately have been involved in accidents/crashes leading to unneccessary deaths of PAF personnel? It's the Vietnam-vintage Huey & OV-10. Oh I forgot, kani ra diay ang AIRCRAFT sa PAF actively being used in counterinsurgency operations, or all operations for that matter. NO MATTER HOW PROFESSIONAL & PROFICIENT THE PILOTS ARE (as you are emphasizing), THEY ARE OF NO USE IF YOU DONOT HAVE QUALITY HARDWARE. MAHUROT LANG NI SILA USING FLYING COFFINS. Quality pa diay ni ang 50yr-old aircraft? The airforce is just cannibalizing parts from other similar units just to let other functional ones continue being serviceable. Since the PAF is relying on donated US equipment, AT LEAST THEY CAN TRY TO REQUEST A BIT MORE MODERN UNITS. PROFESSIONAL & PROFICIENT MAN KAHA ATONG PILOTS, SO DILI ISSUE ANG MODERN HARDWARE

i'm okay if our govt. would opt for huey upgrade since this chopper is still practical for our applications. but it's no-no for an F-5(aka. tiger) upgrade and put it as an interceptor and that would be a scary situation whoever the pilot will assigned to that mission. i'm sure that F-5 will be blown into pieces from an enemy firing his A-A missile 100kms. away nyahahaha...

as for me, there are some issues about the modernization of our Air Force that's being kept classified to the public. those we heard from the media are just the few things that's being controlled outside of the "Real Mccoy" if we talk about the Phase 3 of the AFP Modernization Program. i personally felt this upgrade since it was divulged to us just lately of some classified matters in which i can't tell it to you because i don't have the necessary details that you surely would be interested into and most importantly i don't have the authority to do so. i will stick to what i posted earlier in this thread, our Air Force don't need much of a hardware for defending our land from foreign forces. we need hardwares that can contain our local insurgencies. we can't use an F-16 in troop insertions compared to what the huey can do. i have been trained with the huey not as a pilot or a crew but as one of the troops boarding it. and the huey is not that bad. with full support from our government we can maintain the effectiveness of these so-called "flying coffins" in combat. and no matter what people may say about the hueys i am proud to say that i will still fly with it.

so chill out guys. there is nothing to get personal here. all i can say is that we help out. instead of saying bad things against each other let's us participate in promoting out Air Force whether in hardware, individual developments, or even in our simple appreciation to them. it may not be that much to do from us but to our men in uniform, it can boost morale. if we have the skill and the ingenuity to develop something that might be of use to us all, share it. it is not what we say here that makes a difference in our Air Force, it is what we do. let's not think of whatever we can get form them... let us think what we can do for them...in the end we do it for ourselves too.

While it may be true that The AFP can be considered as one of the least capable, I'm pretty sure that if we had the same equipment as other countries we would stand out. Filipinos have heart. It just so happens that we're stuck buying 2nd or 3rd rate hardware because we can't afford it because for some reason a lot of government officials prefer spending their weekends in Las Vegas rather than donating it to the proper fund resources. Just saying...

murag dili man tingali gamay gasto kung mag train ug hacker sir
imoha pa baya na sila pa eskwelahon

education is the key to success
good quality of education = better economy
better economy = enough money to buy and maintain good quality military equipment

lol, first things first..Vietnam and Bangladesh aint poor countries..,perhaps you might want to define the word poor first. Regarding the PAF's equipments, send to letter to the president to address your concern, he's the over-all commander in chief. and FYI. phil actually has aircraft carrier's and other staff not known to its citizen, why? i dont know, perhanps you can include that in your letter. to summarize, we're just behind from other developing countries.
