    Question Good Study Places

    Hi guys, newbie here!
I'm a med student and I really have a difficult time studying in my studio apartment. Trying to read three-inch thick books in a cozy room with a bed is sometimes just too hard! Hahaha. And I can't study in our school library 'cause it gets too crowded most of the time and it also closes at around 6PM.

Well anyway, do you guys know of good "study out" places here in Cebu? The usual (and sometimes crowded or very noisy) places are of course Bo's in locations such as near Cebu Doctors' Hospital, Raintree Mall, Parkmall or IT Park; Mocha Blends (still in IT Park); Cofifi near STC; Brown Cup at St. Patrick's Square, IT Park or BTC; Coffee Bean at IT Park also. I've also tried Starbucks cafes but usually they use dim lighting so studying becomes more of a chore than ever. Any suggestions? Thank you.

*BTW, I had a bit of a dilemma about where to post this thread, naglibog ko kung diri or sa Food and Dining. Sorry if sayop ko.*

Hi margz, I used to study at Bo's Raintree kato mingaw pa since Velezian man ko pag Bio days. I didn't like the study center k super eerie quiet na makasleep ko lols..

Right now, I love the comfort and peace at Bo's Capitol since magkasinabot mga tawo didto, super mingaw... or mebe ma-timingan lang ko when I do my paperworks.

    hey.. welcome to istorya.. =)

i used to be a med student.. so i understand jud how important proper "ambiance" is inig study.. ayaw jud house kay too many temptations (internet, tv, bed).. akong first suki coffeeshop was Brown Cup, but mahalan lng ko sa parking (max 5hrs parking rman didto i think).. akong ma-recommend nga coffeeshops are:

    1. Bo's in Sykes (i forgot the name of the building, basta it's the building where Sykes is.. hehe).. free parking but lisod pangita food..
    2. Bo's in Cybergate.. accessible ra ang food.. haha.
    3. Starbucks in Paseo Arcenas.. mingaw2x compared sa other branches, matimingan lang usahay naay noisy Koreans (no offense).. ganahan kaau ko diri, only layo2x lng cya sa amoa..
    4. Starbucks sa AS Fortuna is nice pud daw acdg to my former classmates.. but i haven't tried studying there..

Hi, this is a good topic/thread

You'll eventually get used to studying at home. I'm a law student, I had the same dilemma as a freshman so I used to always go out to study with my blockmates. After a while, we got tired of the routine, not to mention that it had become a big burden on the wallet. Once you get into the studying groove, you'll find out that you can study anywhere. The place I'm renting (I'm in Manila) is right smack in the middle of some resto-bars but in spite of all the noise around me, I can still study and memorize provisions. You'll get that groove soon, after all the reading you'll be doing
