what i am planning to do is to put IP address in all PC, one subnet...

but i will only put gateway address(modem ip address) on the PC that needs Internet access.

my question is, are the other PC safe from WORMS/TROJANS/VIRUSes?

ok ra pod na sya but ang problem nmo ani is kung naay makahibalo sa admin password nya naa ka client na may know-how sa computer maka internet gihapon bai..ikaw ray bantayan ana...i suggest to setup one unit PC act as your internet server/gateway/router...try www.ipcop.org ..tested w/ no pain.

try daw ug different workgroup name for group A and group B, and katong gusto nimo dili maka internet ayaw lang butangi ug gateway ila network config... pero dapat ikaw mo asign IP each computer... ambot sakto ba ko??

Try to use keriowin route firewall bai if ur going to make one computer act as an internet server pag basa lng for the config sa fire wall. its good. you can block acess from ports and ip's. kita pa nimu ang ports na nag listen.

ur idea is good, u can used 2LAN for the pc at act as a server, then used ICS on it...used static ip's to ur workstations...put gateway/dns in a pc u give access to the net.,the rest dont put a gateway.

put all your workstation into domain not workgroup, enable dhcp, then setup proxy server with group policy. use ISA firewall as proxy server, you can filter websites, setup user or group policy and even setup vpn access. no hassle in implementing internet access, minimize setup/config time. fully controlled by domain and proxy server.
