coach norman black mentioned the name of fajardo for the U22 National Team to compete for the SEA Games. i think from there they will gauge his performance. I don't think that its too late for fajardo to join the gilas team specially if he plays exceptionally in SEA Games. fajardo can learn a lot from the NBA Veteran Marcus Douthit.after the asian games this november the FIBA Qualifier is still far away anyway so if fajardo plays excellent bball in SEA Games then him being included in gilas isn't too farfetched.

di na musakar bai. ma bangko rana ngadto. he needs a team and a coach who can really develop him. only a few coaches can do that. tim cone would be the best, ryan gregorio can too. and maybe chot reyes if he doesnt have a star lineup.

smart gilas is already out of the picture for fajardo. the team's been around for 2 years and its too late for him to join. besides they are no longer adding "project" players to the lineup. he was invited to join before but said no. while waiting to be drafted next year, as almost all players do, they play in the PBL/Liga or ABC so expect junmar to suit up for any of these teams and most prob MLKP.

LONG TERM that started 2 years ago and will end NEXT YEAR depending on the result. thats why its too late. williams, mercado and asi are seasoned PROS, they are, for Toroman the best players in their position in the PBA today not AMATUERS and "PROJECT PLAYERS" like fajardo. for a "PROJECT" player like junmar, he should have joined Gilas when he was invited 2 years ago like slaughter so he will develop and integrate with Toroman's system like what greg is doing today. well he didnt and now its too late. better for him to prepare for the PBA by playing in the PBL/Liga or the Asean Basketball League or even on the SEA Games National Team of NormanBlack since the draft is still next year rather than hope for a second change with Gilas. and besides, with Douthit, Taulava and Slaughter at Center position then add Japath and jason ballesteros who can play 5 too, junmar will just be a nuisance on the Gilas bench.
