    naa man na voltage isolator ang adaptor sa laptop but if mo fluctuate kusog au ang voltage pwede maguba ang isolator unya kun batig design ang isolator IC pwede maka lusot ang high voltage padung sa imung laptop. sunog imung mobo. kami man tig design sa isolator ana.hehe.naay design nga bati naa pod design nga nindot.depende sa brand sa voltage isolator nga gigamit sa imung adaptor.
    kun magamit kay AVR. duha imung protection.mas maayo nuon.

    if you want to protect your electronics from voltage surges/spikes then you need an AVR. for an even better protection, use a UPS.

    AVR = Automatic Voltage Regulation
    it's designed to automatically maintain a constant voltage level

    AC Adapter = a power supply that converts AC voltage to DC voltage. Does not regulate voltage. Laptops run on DC power. Modern AC Adapters have automatic 120/240 volt switching transformers. Same with the PSU on desktop computers, it converts AC voltage to DC voltage, motherboards, HDD, ODD, run on DC power. except that most PSU's have a manual 120v/240v switch in the back.

    so if you're worried about voltage spikes and surges, like what a lighting storm would cause, or if your house is getting voltage fluctuations, i would recommend using an AVR (cheaper) or UPS (expensive). so when you get hit by a severe voltage spike, the AVR would take it and blow a fuse, cutting off the damaging spike before it reaches your equipment.
